Life takes us up and down many different roadways. The roadways change depending on the season of our lives due to limitations that may occur or other extenuating circumstances. One thing I know is that we can make the choice as to which roadway we want to be on. It is easy to feel like life is out of control and that nothing that you do is going to make a difference to change the roadway you are on. You may feel that rut on the roadway getting larger and larger until a sink hole appears. How do we get ourselves away from that way of thinking? Is it easy? Will it be worth it? Everything inside of me says “no, it will not be easy” but “yes, it will be worth it”.
My Celestial Journey has felt like I have hit one of those ruts but I know I have to pull myself out before the sink hole keeps enlarging. When I first started writing this entry to my Blog, I had no idea how that rut would change so abruptly just three short days later. A journey began on August 17th that would go for a month before the outcome would be known. On September 17th, that journey ended for a wonderful man, my dad. Dad is now back home with our Father in Heaven continuing his Celestial journey with my mother and his parents. My rut has changed and it is now so encompassing that I am struggling to make it to the higher ground. However, the word quitting is not part of my vocabulary so I will start looking at the truths that my Father has provided to me to help me reach the higher ground.
One truth that I do know, without a doubt, is that the Lord will never leave your side if you cling to the covenants you have made with Him and keep the promises you have made to Him. I feel Him in my home, in my car, in my office, at the store, and out on my patio looking into the trees and I know that He is there. He is the joy of the morning sunrise and the hope of the world. He is the LIGHT that directs our lives and helps us to become the individual that He needs us to be. He is the peace that permeates your heart at the end of another day and as you look towards the heavens. He knows the way and He will lead me there!
